Some important landmark in the history of cell
As we all know that structural and functional unit of living organism is cell. Let us study some important landmark in the history of cell.
1665- Robert hooke- Robert hooke observed as slice of cork under the microscope he had made. He observed that the cork piece had a large number of compartment joining together in a honeycomb like structure . He named these compartments Asus cell.
1650- 1700- Anton van leeuwenhoek - Anton Van leeuwenhoek bserved nuclei and unicellular organisms.
1831 - Robert Brown discovered the nucleus.
1838- Sheldon and schwann developed the theory ;Cell theory; .
1855- Virchow show that all cells are formed from preexisting cell
.1930- With the development of electron microscope, The detailed structure of cell become known
